The Eastport Democratic Club ("EDC") is an all-volunteer community social club located at 525 State Street in Eastport. Founded in 1929 and incorporated May 14, 1931, the club serves as the community's meeting and gathering place, for all things Eastport and Annapolis.
Events
The EDC hosts several events during the year. The Green Beer Races are usually held close to St. Patrick's Day. Oktoberfest happens around the end of September. Live music, food and plenty of libations in the spacious parking lot in front of the Club guarantee a good time for members, guests and the general public.
Membership
Club membership has increased significantly, so there may be a hold on new members. Annual dues are currently $100. Membership information may be requested via membership@eastportdemocraticclub.com.
The Speak
A few years ago, the EDC restored the ground floor to a working speakeasy. The Speak is open Thursdays and Saturdays, in addition to other events such as Jazz Brunch.
